Joan II, Countess of Burgundy (15 January 1292 – 21 January 1330), was the daughter of Otto IV of Burgundy and Mahaut. She was married to Philip V of France. In 1314, Joan's sister Blanche and her sister-in-law Margaret were convicted of adultery in the Tour de Nesle Affair. Joan was thought to have known of the affairs, and was placed under house arrest as punishment. She continued to protest her innocence, as did her husband, by 1315 she had been cleared and was allowed to return to court.

Le tombeau de Louis VII dans l'abbaye de Barbeau. -Louis VII meurt le 18 sept 1180, d'une cachexie paralytique dans son palais royal de la Cité à Paris? Le lendemain, il est inhumé à l'abbaye royale St-Port de Barbeau qu'il a fondée près de Fontaine-le-Port, en bord de Seine entre Melun et Fontainebleau. Suite à l'abandon de l'abbaye de Barbeau,Louis XVIII fait transporter le 30 juin 1817 les cendres de Louis VII à la basilique St-Denis.

Louis VII (called the Younger or the Young) (French: Louis le Jeune) (1120 – 18 September 1180) was King of the Franks, the son and successor of Louis VI (hence his nickname). He ruled from 1137 until his death. He was a member of the House of Capet. His reign saw the beginning of the long rivalry between France and England. It also saw the beginning of construction on Notre-Dame de Paris, the founding of the University of Paris and the disastrous Second Crusade.
